Stop PPC Click Fraud in Google adwords

For those of you who don’t know what does PPC stand for, let me explain it to you: it comes from pay-per click, which is commonly associated with click fraud. We all know what click fraud is, but how can we prevent it or at least get rid of it?

Here are some tips for your problem:

1) Turn to Facebook or Twitter Ads: The great thing about using these platforms is that your ads will only show on these platforms which means that there are no extra publishers involved in this process. This eliminates a notable source of click fraud.

2) Set up IP Exclusions in AdWords: If you did your required persistent work and identified the IP address associated with fraudulent clicks, you can block your ad from being distributed to that IP in the future. To set up a ban, all you need to do is go to the Settings tab and scroll down to the IP Exclusions setting. After that, you just need to plug in the upseting addresses and you will no longer be disturbed by them!

3) Run GDN Remarketing Campaigns: If you are worried about publisher-based click fraud, this is the solution. It is easily avoided with remarketing as the ads are only displayed to those who have visited and displayed interest in the advertiser’s website. There’s no risk of publishers clicking on the ads, because they can’t see them!

4) And the last one is adjust your Ad Targeting: Sometimes all it takes is a small twist to your targeting to eliminate invalid clicks. If you think click fraud is coming from a specific geographic region, it may be advantageous to exclude these locations and their languages. Or, if you suspect a competitor to having committed click fraud, you can exclude their zip code, city, etc. But pay attention and set these exclusions only if you truly believe that the majority of the clicks generated in these areas are fraudulent.
